To operate and maintain a grassroots network of people that is open, inclusive and accessible to all; a community organization that reaches out to all people increasing participation by Democrats in local issues and elections and serving as the focus for election of Democrats to local, state and national offices.

We the Oakland Democrats seek to educate, recruit, and mobilize Oakland residents to support Democratic principles and values, and to elect Democratic candidates who support those principles and values.  Our goals are to:

Educate
Raise awareness of issues, principles, values, candidates, including calls to action, by providing voter information and candidate information.
Develop messages.
Develop media strategies and implement them.

Recruit
Target, identify, & register potential voters.
Identify & develop viable candidates.
Recruit & deploy party workers, including precinct workers and activists.
Work with other committees.
